Dr. Botha holds Honours and Master’s degrees in Economics (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria and a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Johannesburg. His forecasting accuracy earned him the Finmedia Economist of the Year award, recognizing his outstanding contribution to economic analysis.

Currently, Dr. Botha lectures part-time at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) and serves as Economic Advisor to the Optimum Financial Services Group.
